What You'll DoAs a senior member of our tax team, you'll take the lead on complex tax engagements while developing others and shaping the client experience. You will: <ul><li>Prepare and review federal and state returns for individuals and business entities including S-Corps, C-Corps, and Partnerships</li><li>Provide strategic, year-round tax planning and advisory</li><li>Review work prepared by junior team members and offer mentorship and training</li><li>Conduct technical tax research and ensure accurate compliance</li><li>Perform closing journal entries, accounting cleanup, and QuickBooks reviews</li><li>Lead virtual client meetings to discuss financials, projections, and tax strategy</li></ul>Who You AreYou are a confident tax expert with strong technical knowledge, leadership experience, and a collaborative spirit. You bring: <ul><li>10 or more successful tax seasons preparing both individual and business returns</li><li>2 or more years reviewing and coaching staff in a public accounting environment</li><li>Strong knowledge of tax planning, compliance, and advisory best practices</li><li>Experience with QuickBooks (UltraTax familiarity is a plus)</li><li>Excellent communication skills, time management, and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting</li><li>CPA or EA designation (required)</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldor equivalent experience</li><li>Minimum of 5 years in public accounting or a similar tax and advisory role</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits<ul><li>Salary: $105,000$170,000/year depending on experience and performance</li><li>Bonuses: Performance-based incentives</li><li>Health: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance</li><li>Retirement: 401(k) with employer match</li><li>Time Off: PTO and paid holidays</li><li>Schedule: 40 hours/week with flexible scheduling and core hours between 8 AM 6 PM (your time zone); minimal overtime during peak tax season</li><li>Additional Perks:</li><li>100 percent remote work</li><li>Professional development and continuing education</li><li>A collaborative, close-knit team culture</li><li>A clear, supported growth path</li></ul>About ProfitwiseAt Profitwise, we help small business owners reach their goals through cloud-based accounting, tax, and advisory services.
